Yes. Downtime is expected following treatment. The skin may become red, tight, dry and begin peeling over several days as damaged skin sheds naturally. Recovery typically takes around 7–10 days depending on the treatment intensity.

The treatment uses 25% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) delivered through Enerpeel®’s unique carrier system, allowing the acid to penetrate deeper into the skin before activation. This helps improve collagen stimulation and skin remodelling while reducing unnecessary surface irritation.

Enerpeel® TCA 25% is an advanced medium-to-deep chemical peel designed to improve acne scarring, pigmentation, uneven texture and visible signs of ageing while stimulating collagen production and skin remodelling.

Stop using reticap/retinoids 3 days before and do use them again to 3 days after your treatment. Stop using aspirin 3 days before and do not use them again until 3 days after your treatment. Stop using retinol/Glycolic/salicylic/vit c 3 days before your treatment. Do not use roaccutane for 12 months before your treatment. No Botox or fillers for 2 weeks before your appointment. No sunbeds/sun for 30 days before and after treatment. No Bleaching or using hair removal cream for 7 days before your treatment. Do not have any other peels for 4 weeks before your treatment. Check all your medication with a technician. Please arrive to your appointment completely make up and product free.

After a peel you may notice your skin is flushed, pink or red (almost like you have caught the sun that day) and your skin may also feel dry and tight. At or around day 3 pst treatment you may experience some slight peeling or flaking. This is to be expected and will last 1-2 days. It is possible you may not have any peeling or flaking at all, this does not mean your peel is not working. It is important you wear SPF everyday post-procedure for at least 2 weeks and avoid products containg retinol, Glycolic or any other exfoliating ingredients for the first week post procedure. You should be ok to apply make up the following day. Avoid any physical activity until the following day and avoid un beds and exposure for 30 days.

This peel treats Moderate hyper pigmentation, Moderate actinic keratosis, Moderate post-acne scars, Moderate/Severe chrono-ageing, Moderate/Severe photo-ageing.

The contraindications for this treatment are as follows: 1) Presence of family history of herpes, This will need to be cleared up for 4-6 weeks before treatment. 2) Recent (Less then 6 months) surgical or laser treatments. 3) Botulinum toxin (Injectables) 1-2 weeks after. 4) wax, depilation 3 weeks after. 5) Collagen injections before or after 2 weeks 6) Combined therapy with isotretinoin (at least 6 months after discontinuation of taking the drug) 7) Immunosuppressive diseases 8) Previous radiotherapy of the skin portion to be exfoliated that might compromise the physiological regeneration of the skin. 9) Family history of developing keloids or hypertrophic scars. 10) Family history of developing post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 11) Pregnancy 12) Breastfeeding 13) Allergy and/or known hypersensitivity to one or more of the components. 14) Other medical considerations

You may experience one or some of the following: Swelling, Erythema, Herpes and bacterial infections, Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (Temporary), Acneiform eruptions, Prolonged sensitiveness to light and wind etc, increased pores size and change in skin texture. Theses are only a possible side effects and does not guarantee you will suffer with any at all.

It is advised to repeat the peel to boost the process of remodelling 21 to 28 days later and results after 3 peels are considerable.

Remodelling does not start until 5 to 7 days after the peel and can continue for up to 3 months.
