Acne Clearance is an advanced IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment designed to reduce active breakouts, calm inflammation, and help prevent future acne flare-ups.
Suitable for teenagers and adults.
IPL works in two powerful ways:
Targets acne-causing bacteria
The light energy interacts with acne bacteria in the skin, triggering a controlled photodynamic reaction that helps destroy the bacteria responsible for inflammation and breakouts.
Reduces excess oil production
The light is absorbed into small blood vessels supplying the sebaceous glands. By gently heating these vessels, IPL helps reduce overactive oil production — one of the key contributors to acne.
This process, known as selective photothermolysis, allows the treatment to target problem areas while protecting the surrounding skin.

A consultation is an essential part of your Acne Clearance journey and is required before your first treatment. During your appointment, your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and determine whether IPL Acne Clearance is the most suitable treatment for you. We will review your: Skin type and acne severity. Medical history and current medications. Previous skin treatments. Lifestyle factors that may affect your skin. Treatment goals and expectations. Your practitioner will also explain how the treatment works, discuss the expected results, outline any potential risks and answer any questions you may have. A patch test will usually be carried out during your consultation to ensure your skin responds safely to the IPL treatment before proceeding with your first session. For your appointment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area if required. Please arrive with clean skin, free from makeup, moisturisers and sunscreen on the area being treated. If your acne affects areas such as the chest or back, wearing loose-fitting clothing can help make your consultation and treatment more comfortable. Every person's skin is unique, which is why we create a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to your skin concerns. This helps us deliver the safest treatment while giving you the best possible chance of achieving clearer, healthier-looking skin.
