This advanced IPL treatment targets the bacteria in the skin that cause acne. A photo-dynamic reaction occurs, which selectively destroys the bacteria themselves. With successive treatments, the rate of acne destruction can become greater than the growth of the bacteria, leading to a reduction of inflamed lesions and even the prevention of further scarring.
The AW3 IPL acne removal machine treatment works by directing pulses of blue light into the epidermis. The light is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the blood vessels that feed the sebaceous glands. Haemoglobin converts the light energy into heat, which damages the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the glands. This technique is called “Selective Photothermolysis”. The visible light produced by the IPL systems is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and wavelengths to reduce the acne without damaging the surrounding tissue.
IPL Laser acne clearance is a treatment solution for spots, and acne. Acne-prone skin can be pitted, sensitive, large pores, and also suffer from redness and blemishes. The AW3 IPL treats 3 types of acne:
Clogging of the hair follicles that leads to unsightly and
sometime painful, skin lesions and pimples.
Covers the back, chest, and buttocks with pustules and
nodules. This might cause a severe bacterial infection, as well as extensive
scarring.
An inflammation of the face, neck or chest.
–The light targets the porphyrins produced by the P. acnes bacteria in the skin. A photodynamic reaction occurs and produces the free radical single oxygen which performs a selective destruction of the P. acnes themselves. With successive treatments the rate of acne destruction can become greater than the growth of the bacteria leading to a reduction in the inflamed lesions and can prevent further traumatic scarring.
–Light is absorbed into the blood vessels, which supply the sebaceous glands. By heating up the capillaries this will reduce the blood flow to the sebaceous glands and decrease the over-production of oil in the skin.
