Laser Hair Reduction is an advanced treatment designed to safely reduce unwanted hair for both men and women.
Using powerful multi-wavelength laser technology combined with ice-cooling systems, the treatment delivers effective long-term hair reduction while keeping discomfort to a minimum.
Most areas of the body can be treated, including the legs, chest, back, underarms, upper lip, chin and bikini line. The eyelids and surrounding eye area cannot be treated. Areas containing tattoos cannot be treated, as laser energy cannot be applied to inked skin.
Laser Hair Reduction is used to reduce unwanted hair on:
• Face (upper lip, chin, cheeks)
• Underarms
• Bikini and intimate areas
• Legs
• Arms
• Chest and back
• Abdomen
It is suitable for a wide range of skin types and hair types, with best results typically seen in darker hair.
The laser targets melanin (pigment) within the hair follicle.
The hair shaft acts like a conductor, allowing light energy to travel down into the follicle. The energy converts to heat, damaging the blood supply and growth structures that feed the hair.
Hair grows in three stages:
• Anagen (active growth phase)
• Telogen (resting phase)
• Catagen (transition phase)
Laser treatment is most effective during the anagen phase, when the hair is actively growing. Because only a percentage of hairs are in this phase at any one time, a course of treatments is required for optimal long-term reduction.
Hair does not fall out immediately. Treated hairs gradually shed over days to weeks, which may appear like continued growth at first.
Most clients experience:
• Slower regrowth
• Finer, lighter hair
• Reduced density
• Smoother skin
• Less irritation from shaving or waxing
Results vary between individuals. While many areas achieve long-term reduction, occasional maintenance treatments may be required.
Your journey begins with a consultation and patch test to ensure suitability.
During your consultation we will:
• Review your medical history
• Discuss risks and expectations
• Take photographs if required
• Conduct a patch test
Before treatment, the area should be shaved. Long hairs are not required and may reduce treatment efficiency.
During the procedure:
• The area is cleansed
• The laser handpiece is placed against the skin
• Controlled pulses of light are delivered
Most clients describe the sensation as a quick flick or snapping feeling. Thanks to the ice-cooling technology, discomfort is significantly reduced.
There is minimal downtime and most clients return to normal activities immediately.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we combine advanced multi-wavelength laser technology with clinical expertise to deliver safe, personalised hair reduction treatments. Every treatment plan is tailored to your skin type, hair colour, hair growth cycle and individual treatment goals.

A consultation is an essential part of your Female Laser Hair Reduction treatment and is required before your first appointment. During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your skin and hair type, discuss the areas you would like treated and determine whether Laser Hair Reduction is the most suitable treatment for you. We will review your: Skin type and tone. Hair colour, thickness and growth pattern. Medical history and current medications. Previous hair removal methods and laser treatments. Lifestyle factors, including recent sun exposure and tanning. Treatment goals and expectations. Your practitioner will explain how Laser Hair Reduction works, discuss the expected results, outline any potential risks and answer any questions you may have. We will also carry out a patch test, which is required at least 24–48 hours before your first treatment, to assess your skin's reaction and ensure the treatment can be performed safely. For your appointment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area. The area should be clean, freshly shaved and free from makeup, moisturisers, fake tan, deodorant, perfume or other skincare products, depending on the area being treated. Every person's skin and hair are different, which is why we create a personalised treatment plan based on your individual needs. Whether you're looking to reduce unwanted facial or body hair, your Female Laser Hair Reduction treatment plan will be tailored to help you achieve smoother skin and long-lasting hair reduction safely and effectively.
