Cherry angiomas, also known as Campbell de Morgan spots, are small red skin lesions formed by clusters of tiny blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. They are benign and typically harmless but may bleed if irritated, scratched or knocked.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we remove cherry angiomas using advanced CryoPen cryotherapy and diathermy treatments — both designed to safely and effectively treat unwanted vascular lesions with minimal disruption to the surrounding skin.
Our treatments are suitable for:
Each lesion is carefully assessed prior to treatment to confirm suitability.
CryoPen cryotherapy uses controlled bursts of extreme cold in the form of nitrous oxide to freeze and destroy the lesion at its core. The freezing process causes the blood vessels within the angioma to constrict and collapse, allowing the body to naturally eliminate the treated tissue during healing.
Diathermy works using a fine probe and high-frequency electrical current to create controlled heat within the angioma. This heat coagulates and seals the tiny blood vessels responsible for the red appearance, causing the lesion to gradually break down and fade as the skin heals naturally.
Both treatments are highly targeted and designed to minimise disruption to the surrounding skin while encouraging effective cosmetic improvement.
Most clients experience:
The treated area may darken slightly or form a small scab or crust during healing before clearer skin is revealed underneath.
Some larger or more stubborn lesions may require additional treatments for optimal results.
Your appointment includes:
Multiple angiomas can often be treated during the same appointment.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we combine clinical precision with careful cosmetic consideration to safely treat cherry angiomas and vascular blemishes. Using advanced CryoPen® cryotherapy and diathermy technology, our focus is achieving effective results while minimising skin trauma and supporting optimal healing.
Your comfort, skin health and safety are always our priority. Treatment costs vary depending on the type, size and number of lesions being treated, as well as the treatment method used. If you have multiple lesions, multiple skin tags or are unsure about suitability, we recommend booking a consultation so we can assess the area and provide a personalised treatment plan and quotation.

Following your Cherry Angioma Removal treatment, it is important to care for the treated area correctly to support healing, minimise the risk of infection and achieve the best possible cosmetic result. It is normal to experience some temporary side effects following treatment, including: Mild redness around the treated area. Slight swelling. A small scab or crust forming over the treated angioma. Mild tenderness or sensitivity. Occasionally, slight bruising. These reactions are expected and form part of the normal healing process. The treated area will gradually heal over the following 7–14 days, although healing may take slightly longer depending on the size and location of the lesion. To protect the treated area and support healing: Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24 hours. Apply the recommended aftercare cream if advised by your practitioner. Avoid touching, rubbing or scratching the treated area. Allow any scab or crust to form naturally. For the first 24–48 hours: Avoid hot baths, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating. Avoid swimming pools and chlorinated water. Avoid applying makeup, perfumes or fragranced products directly to the treated area. Until the area has fully healed: Do not pick, scratch or remove any scab, as this may increase the risk of scarring or infection. Avoid exfoliating products, retinol, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and other active skincare products on the treated area. Avoid waxing, threading or other treatments directly over the healing skin. Continue using a gentle cleanser and moisturiser around the area if appropriate. ion Protecting the treated area from UV exposure is essential during the healing process. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 once the skin has fully healed. Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds until the area has completely healed. Wear protective clothing or cover the area where possible when outdoors. Failure to protect the healing skin from UV exposure may increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Most cherry angiomas can be successfully removed in one treatment, although larger or multiple lesions may require additional sessions. To achieve the best cosmetic outcome: Follow all aftercare advice carefully. Allow the treated area to heal naturally. Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure. Attend any recommended review appointments if advised by your practitioner. Please contact Body Perfection Clinic if you experience: Severe or worsening redness lasting longer than 72 hours. Excessive swelling or increasing pain. Persistent bleeding that does not stop with gentle pressure. Signs of infection, including pus, excessive heat, spreading redness or discharge. Any unexpected or concerning reaction following your treatment. Your practitioner will be happy to advise you and arrange a review appointment if required.
