Initial improvements in texture and brightness may be noticeable within a few weeks. More significant results develop gradually over 6–12 weeks as new collagen forms and strengthens the skin.

Some improvement can be seen after one session. However, for concerns such as acne scarring or stretch marks, a course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is usually recommended for optimal results. Collagen production continues for several months after treatment.

After Derma FNS™ Microneedling, your skin may feel warm and appear red, similar to mild sun exposure. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours. Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids and active skincare for 5–7 days. Apply SPF daily and avoid direct sun exposure while the skin heals. Keep the skin hydrated using gentle, fragrance-free products.

Do not undergo chemical peels or laser treatments in the weeks leading up to your appointment unless advised. A full consultation and skin assessment will be carried out before treatment.

Most clients find Derma FNS™ Microneedling very manageable, especially with numbing cream applied beforehand. You may feel a light scratching or vibrating sensation during treatment, but discomfort is minimal.

Your treatment begins with a consultation and skin preparation. A topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure comfort. The Derma FNS™ device is then passed over the treatment area in controlled movements, creating precise micro-channels in the skin. The procedure typically lasts between 30–60 minutes depending on the area being treated.

Pre Treatment care • Do Not use sunbeds/sun 14 days before treatment. • Do not use retinol products 3 days before treatment. • Do not aggressively exfoliate before treatment. • Do not wax before treatment. • No Botox/Fillers or chemical peels 2 weeks before treatment. • Speak to an advisor regarding any medical conditions and medication. Post Treatment care • Do not touch the skin or pick/pull scabs. • Gently wash the treated area on the same day using a mild cleanser, only pat dry. • Use of intensive moisturisers is advised, please ask staff for advice. • Avoid facial products with fragrance for 5 to 7 days. • Refrain from extreme heat or cold for at least 2 weeks. • Apply SPF 50 on a daily basis. • Avoid Electrolysis, bleaching, waxing or laser for 72 hours. • Avoid strong chlorinated water for 14 days. • Do not use retinol products for 3 days after. • Do not vigorously exercise for 48 hours after.
