HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) Body Sculpting is an advanced treatment that uses targeted ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and reduce stubborn fat deposits.
It works beneath the surface of the skin without damaging the outer layer, making it a non-invasive alternative to surgical lifting or fat reduction procedures.
HIFU can be used on both the face and body to improve firmness, tighten loose skin and refine contours.
HIFU Body Sculpting is commonly used to improve:
• Skin laxity on the body
• Localised fat deposits
• Mild to moderate loose skin
• Early signs of sagging
• Cellulite appearance
• Body contour irregularities
Common treatment areas include but are not limited to:

It is ideal for clients looking to tighten and sculpt rather than lose significant weight.
HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy deep into the skin and subcutaneous fat layers at controlled depths (including 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 13mm and 16mm depending on the area treated).
The energy creates precise thermal focal points beneath the skin’s surface.
This process:
• Heats targeted tissue to therapeutic temperatures
• Stimulates collagen production
• Causes controlled fat cell destruction
• Triggers natural tissue tightening
Fat cells exposed to these temperatures undergo coagulative necrosis (controlled cell death). The body then gradually eliminates the affected fat cells through its natural metabolic processes.
At the same time, collagen regeneration improves skin firmness and texture.

Results develop gradually over several months as collagen production increases and fat cells are processed by the body.
Clients often notice:
• Firmer, tighter skin
• Improved contour in treated areas
• Reduction in small fat pockets
• Smoother appearance of cellulite
• A more sculpted silhouette
Full results are typically visible within 3-6 months and may last 12–24 months depending on lifestyle and individual factors.
Your treatment begins with a consultation to assess suitability and define treatment goals.
During the session:
• The area is cleansed
• Ultrasound gel is applied
• A handheld device delivers focused ultrasound energy in controlled pulses
• You may feel warmth or mild tingling sensations
Treatment time varies between 30–90 minutes depending on the area.
There is no downtime, and most clients return to normal activities immediately.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we use advanced HIFU technology with multiple depth settings to precisely target skin laxity and localised fat.
Every treatment plan is customised to your body shape, skin condition and goals.

Following your HIFU Body Sculpting treatment, it is important to care for the treated area correctly to support your body's natural healing process, maximise your results and minimise the risk of irritation. It is normal to experience some temporary side effects following treatment, including: * Mild redness. * Slight swelling. * Tenderness or sensitivity in the treated area. * Tingling or a mild aching sensation. * Temporary numbness or firmness beneath the skin. These effects are usually mild and settle within a few hours to several days, although some tenderness may persist for up to 2 weeks. Results develop gradually as your body naturally processes the treated fat cells over the following 8–12 weeks. To support recovery: * Keep the treated area clean and dry. * Drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated. * Resume light daily activities as normal. * Avoid rubbing or applying excessive pressure to the treated area. * Apply a soothing moisturiser if recommended by your practitioner. For the first 24–48 hours: * Avoid hot baths, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. * Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating. * Avoid swimming pools and chlorinated water if the skin feels irritated. * Avoid applying heavily fragranced creams or products that may irritate the treated area. * Wear loose, comfortable clothing to minimise friction. For the first 5–7 days: * Avoid massage or deep tissue treatments over the treated area unless advised by your practitioner. * Continue to maintain good hydration to support your body's natural elimination of treated fat cells. * Maintain a healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity to help optimise your results. * Avoid additional body contouring or energy-based treatments on the treated area until advised it is safe to do so. If the treated area will be exposed to sunlight: * Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 every day. * Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors. * Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds for at least 2 weeks after treatment. * Wear protective clothing where possible. Protecting your skin from UV exposure helps minimise the risk of pigmentation changes and supports healthy skin recovery. HIFU Body Sculpting permanently destroys targeted fat cells, but maintaining your results depends on your lifestyle. To achieve the best long-term outcome: * Maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise routine. * Stay well hydrated. * Keep your weight stable where possible. * Attend any recommended review or follow-up appointments. * Additional treatment sessions may be recommended depending on your goals and the size of the treatment area. Please contact Body Perfection Clinic if you have any concerns about your recovery or experience: * Severe or worsening redness lasting longer than 72 hours. * Excessive swelling or increasing pain. * Blistering or burns. * Persistent numbness or tenderness that does not improve. * Any unexpected or concerning reaction following your treatment. If you think you have developed an infection (such as increasing redness, excessive heat, pus, discharge or fever), or you feel generally unwell, please seek immediate medical advice from your GP, NHS 111 or your nearest emergency department if your symptoms are severe. Your practitioner will be happy to advise you and arrange a review appointment if required.
