Soft, breathable fabrics are ideal and will help minimise friction and irritation following treatment. If your tattoo is located on the arms or legs, wear loose clothing that can be easily rolled up or adjusted. For chest, back or shoulder tattoos, a loose-fitting top with buttons or a wide neckline is recommended. If treating an intimate area, comfortable, loose-fitting underwear and clothing are advised. Please avoid tight clothing, rough fabrics and anything that may rub against the treated area after your session, as the skin may feel warm, sensitive or tender for a few days. Arrive with clean skin free from fake tan, moisturisers, perfumes and makeup on the treatment area. Your comfort and privacy are always our priority, and disposable towels and gowns are available when required.

Tattoo ink sits deep within the skin and cannot be removed in a single treatment. Each Laser Tattoo Removal session breaks the ink into smaller particles which are then gradually cleared by the body. A course of treatments is necessary to progressively fade the tattoo safely and effectively.

Laser Tattoo Removal can be performed on most areas of the body where tattoos are present, including the arms, legs, back, chest and other areas. Your practitioner will assess the tattoo location and skin condition during consultation.

After Laser Tattoo Removal, the treated area may appear red, swollen or slightly blistered, which is a normal part of the healing process. Keep the area clean and avoid picking or scratching the skin. Protect the area from sun exposure and follow the aftercare advice provided by your practitioner to support healing. The use of Aloe Vera Gel 100% is recommended directly after your treatment and for a few days if needed. SPF 30+ should be applied when outside for 4 weeks after. Excessive exposure can cause hypo or hyper pigmentation of the skin.

Before Laser Tattoo Removal, avoid sun exposure and tanning on the treatment area for up to 30 days before and after. The skin should be clean and free from lotions, oils or creams on the day of treatment. Do not have treatment if you are on anti-biotics. Do not wax or thread the area. Your practitioner may also carry out a patch test to ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin.

Laser Tattoo Removal can cause some discomfort, often described as similar to the feeling of an elastic band snapping against the skin. However, the treatment is quick and most clients tolerate it well. Cooling methods may be used during treatment to help keep the skin comfortable.

The type of lasers we use nowadays are much more sophisticated targeting and breaking up the ink pigment. We have removed hundreds of tattoos successfully without scarring, however we cannot guarantee no scarring. There may be a slight lightening or darkening of the skin pigment. To reduce the risk, we assess each individual at consultation prior to treatment. We will conduct a patch test and ask you to come back two weeks later for a second consultation. If you have healed well we will go ahead with treatment. If we feel the patch test has not healed correctly, we may refuse treatment or repatch you again. Laser tattoo removal creates a superficial burn wound. This forces the skin to create new skin cells. There is an immediate whitening effect after this procedure and this can last for several minutes after the procedure. Tattoo removal may blister and usually develops within a few hours after your treatment. The blisters generally last a week or two, and you might also notice some crusting and scabbing on the treated area. Always make sure to follow our aftercare instructions. Taking good care of your skin after getting a tattoo being removed may not only help prevent the formation of blisters, but also help your skin heal faster.
