Moles are small, coloured spots that develop on the skin. They may be flat or raised, smooth or rough, and sometimes have hair growing from them. Most moles are completely harmless, but some clients choose removal for cosmetic reasons or due to irritation from clothing or jewellery.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we remove suitable benign moles using advanced Cryotherapy technology, offering a controlled and minimally invasive solution.
Cryotherapy is used to remove benign moles that:
• Cause irritation from clothing or jewellery
• Catch and bleed occasionally
• Are cosmetically unwanted
• Feel uncomfortable due to positioning
Please note: Only benign moles can be removed. Suspicious lesions must be medically assessed first.
We use targeted Cryotherapy, which emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide at extremely low temperatures (approximately -89°C).
The freezing process:
• Freezes the intracellular fluid inside the mole
• Forms ice crystals within the cells
• Ruptures the cell membrane
• Destroys the targeted tissue
The treated tissue gradually breaks down and the body naturally sheds it during healing.
The precision of the device allows accurate treatment while minimising impact on surrounding healthy skin.
Most benign moles can be permanently removed.
Clients typically experience:
• Effective removal of the lesion
• Minimal discomfort
• Low risk of scarring
• Little disruption to surrounding skin
In some cases, particularly with larger or raised moles, more than one session may be required for optimal cosmetic results.
Your journey begins with confirmation that the mole is benign. This can be done by:
• Booking a cancer screening consultation with us
or
• Providing a GP letter confirming the mole is benign and safe for cosmetic removal
Once suitability is confirmed:
• The mole is examined
• The area is cleansed
• Cryotherapy is applied for a few seconds
• Aftercare advice is provided
The full consultation and treatment typically take 20–30 minutes.
A follow-up review may be offered around 4 weeks later if required.
Your safety is our priority.
We work alongside professional cancer screening services to ensure any mole removed is confirmed as benign before treatment. Using advanced dermoscopy imaging and dermatologist reporting, we provide a responsible, medically-aware approach to cosmetic mole removal.
We combine clinical precision with cosmetic care, ensuring safe removal while aiming for the best possible aesthetic outcome.
If you are unsure whether your mole is suitable for removal, we recommend booking a consultation for professional assessment.

Following your Mole Removal treatment, it is important to care for the treated area correctly to promote healing, minimise the risk of infection and help achieve the best possible cosmetic outcome. It is normal to experience: * Mild redness and swelling around the treatment area. * Tenderness or slight discomfort. * A small scab or crust forming over the treated lesion. * Minor clear or pink fluid leakage during the first 24 hours. The treated area will gradually heal over the following 1–4 weeks, depending on the size and location of the lesion and the treatment method used. To protect the treated area: * Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24 hours, unless advised otherwise by your practitioner. * If a dressing has been applied, leave it in place for the length of time recommended by your practitioner. * Avoid touching, rubbing or picking at the treated area. * Wash your hands before touching the area if dressing changes are required. For the first 24–48 hours: Avoid: * Hot baths, saunas and steam rooms. * Swimming pools, hot tubs and open water. * Vigorous exercise that causes excessive sweating if the treated area may become irritated. * Applying make-up, perfumes, fragranced creams or other products directly to the treated area unless recommended by your practitioner. During the healing process: * Allow any scab to fall away naturally. Do not pick or scratch it, as this may increase the risk of scarring or infection. * Keep the area clean and follow any dressing or wound care instructions provided by your practitioner. * Once the skin has healed, apply SPF 30 or higher to the area whenever it is exposed to sunlight for at least 6 months, as newly healed skin is more susceptible to pigmentation changes. * If recommended, apply any healing cream or ointment exactly as instructed by your practitioner. To achieve the best cosmetic outcome: * Follow all aftercare advice carefully. * Protect the treated area from excessive sun exposure. * Monitor your skin regularly and report any new or changing moles or skin lesions. * Attend any follow-up appointments if recommended by your practitioner. Please contact Body Perfection Clinic if you have any concerns following your treatment or experience: * Increasing redness or swelling after the first few days. * Excessive pain that continues to worsen. * Persistent bleeding that does not stop with gentle pressure. * Pus or unpleasant-smelling discharge. * Signs of infection, including increasing redness, excessive heat, pus, discharge, fever or feeling unwell. If you experience signs of infection or have significant bleeding or any severe or unexpected reaction, seek prompt medical advice from your GP, NHS 111 or your nearest Emergency Department. Your practitioner will be happy to advise you and arrange a review appointment if required.
