There are lots of things you can do to help prevent stubborn fat, including eating as much fibre as possible, avoiding foods high in fats like margarine and spreads, reducing your sugar intake and avoiding or limiting your alcohol intake.

Try to maintain a high-protein diet, reduce your stress levels as best you can, do as much cardio exercise (running, walking, jogging, swimming) as possible, as well as cutting back on carbohydrates. You could also try using coconut oil as a cooking fat.
