Verrucas are small, rough growths that most commonly appear on the soles of the feet. They are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and can become painful when walking or standing due to pressure on the affected area.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we remove verrucas using advanced CryoPen® cryotherapy — a precise freezing treatment designed to safely destroy the infected tissue while protecting the surrounding healthy skin.
CryoPen® is suitable for treating:
• Plantar verrucas on the soles of the feet
• Cluster verrucas (mosaic verrucas)
• Persistent or treatment-resistant verrucas
• Painful verrucas causing discomfort when walking
Verrucas can spread through direct or indirect contact, particularly in communal areas such as swimming pools and gyms.
CryoPen® delivers controlled bursts of extreme cold (nitrous oxide) directly onto the verruca.
The treatment works by:
• Freezing the virus-infected skin cells
• Causing the blood supply to the verruca to shut down
• Destroying the affected tissue
• Allowing the body to naturally eliminate the treated area
A small blister or scab may form as part of the healing process. As the skin repairs, clearer, healthier skin replaces the treated tissue.
For many verrucas, cryotherapy provides permanent removal. However, deeper or long-standing verrucas may require repeat sessions to achieve full resolution while minimising damage to surrounding skin.
Most clients notice:
• Gradual reduction in size
• Formation of a blister or protective scab
• Natural shedding of the treated tissue
• Reduced discomfort when walking
Healing typically takes 1–2 weeks, depending on the size and depth of the verruca. Larger, stubborn, or multiple verrucas may require follow-up treatment.
Your appointment will begin with a consultation to assess the verruca and confirm suitability.
During the procedure:
• The area is cleansed
• Thickened surface skin may be gently reduced
• The CryoPen® is applied for a few seconds to freeze the verruca
• Multiple verrucas can be treated in one session
Treatment is quick and usually described as a brief cold or stinging sensation. The area may appear red or slightly swollen before forming a blister or scab.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we combine clinical precision with careful cosmetic consideration. Our practitioners are trained in advanced cryotherapy techniques to ensure effective verruca removal with minimal trauma to surrounding skin.
Where appropriate, we may recommend follow-up sessions to ensure complete resolution while maintaining optimal skin integrity.
For multiple verrucas, or if you are unsure about suitability, we recommend booking a consultation prior to treatment.
