Laser Hair Reduction is a non-surgical treatment designed to significantly reduce unwanted hair for both men and women.
Using advanced cooling technology, the treatment is designed to be comfortable while delivering targeted energy directly to the hair follicle. Most areas of the face and body can be treated, excluding the eyelids and surrounding eye area.
Areas containing tattoos cannot be treated. Only skin without ink is suitable for laser treatment.
Laser Hair Reduction is suitable for reducing unwanted hair on:
• Legs
• Chest
• Back
• Underarms
• Upper lip
• Chin
• Bikini line
• Arms
• Beard area
• Most face and body areas
It is ideal for long-term hair reduction and smoother skin without the irritation often caused by shaving or waxing.
The treatment targets melanin (pigment) within the hair follicle.
• The hair absorbs light energy.
• The energy converts to heat.
• The heat damages the follicle and reduces its ability to regrow hair.
Hair grows in different stages, and the treatment works best on hairs in the active growth phase. Because not all hairs are growing at the same time, a course of treatments is recommended for optimal results.
Hairs do not fall out immediately but shed gradually over the following days and weeks.
Clients typically notice:
• Slower regrowth
• Finer, lighter hair
• Reduced density
• Smoother skin
• Less irritation from shaving
Long-term hair reduction is achievable, although maintenance sessions may be required depending on individual hair growth patterns.
Your treatment begins with a consultation and patch test.
During the appointment:
• The treatment area should be shaved beforehand.
• The skin is cleansed.
• The laser handpiece is applied to the skin.
• Pulses of light energy are delivered in controlled intervals.
Most clients describe the sensation as a quick flick or snapping feeling. Thanks to integrated cooling technology, discomfort is minimised.
Session times vary depending on the size of the treatment area.
At Body Perfection Clinic, your safety and results are our priority. Every client receives a thorough consultation and personalised treatment plan tailored to their skin type, hair colour, hair growth patterns and treatment goals.
A consultation and patch test are required prior to treatment to assess suitability, identify the most appropriate treatment settings and ensure the safest and most effective results.

Advice Following your Laser Hair Reduction treatment, it is important to care for your skin correctly to minimise irritation and achieve the best possible long-term results. It is normal to experience some temporary side effects following treatment, including: Mild redness around the hair follicles. Slight warmth or sensitivity, similar to mild sunburn. Mild swelling of the treated area. A tingling sensation. These reactions are temporary and usually settle within a few hours, although some clients may experience mild sensitivity for up to 48 hours. Over the following 1–3 weeks, treated hairs will gradually shed from the follicles. This is a normal part of the treatment process and should not be mistaken for new hair growth. Immediately after treatment to protect your skin and promote healing: Apply 100% Aloe Vera Gel if the treated area feels warm or sensitive: keep the skin clean and well moisturised using a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser. Drink plenty of water to help keep your skin hydrated. Avoid touching, scratching or rubbing the treated area unnecessarily. For the first 24–48 hours: Avoid hot baths, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. Avoid swimming pools and chlorinated water. Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating. Avoid direct sun exposure and always protect the treated area with a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50. Between treatments: Do not wax, thread, pluck or use depilatory creams, as these remove the hair follicle required for effective treatment. Shaving is permitted and recommended if hair removal is required between appointments. Avoid exfoliating products, retinol, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and other active skincare products on the treated area for 3–5 days. Continue to keep the skin moisturised and well hydrated. Maintaining your results laser hair reduction works most effectively when treatments are completed at the recommended intervals. To achieve the best results: Attend all scheduled treatment sessions. Protect the treated skin from sun exposure throughout your course of treatment. Apply SPF 30–50 daily, even on cloudy days. Maintain a healthy skincare routine to keep your skin in optimal condition. Please contact Body Perfection Clinic if you experience: Severe or worsening redness lasting longer than 72 hours. Blistering or burns. Increasing pain or swelling. Signs of infection, including pus or excessive heat. Any unexpected or concerning reaction following your treatment. Your practitioner will be happy to advise you and arrange a review appointment if required.
