Milia Facial Prep is a specialised facial treatment designed to gently cleanse, soften and prepare the skin ahead of professional milia removal.
Combining gentle cleansing, enzymatic exfoliation, warmth and a soothing finishing mask, this treatment helps prepare the skin for further treatment while leaving it feeling refreshed, comfortable and hydrated.
Milia are small, firm, white or yellowish bumps that develop when keratin becomes trapped beneath the skin's surface. They commonly appear around the eyes, cheeks and forehead and cannot always be removed through normal cleansing or exfoliation.
Milia Facial Prep is designed for clients who have:
This facial prepares the skin for milia removal but does not remove milia on its own. Manual milia extraction can be added to this treatment where appropriate.
Milia Facial Prep combines several stages to gently cleanse, exfoliate, soften and soothe the skin.
Cleansing – The treatment begins with a gentle cleanser to remove surface impurities, excess oil and daily build-up.
Cocoa Enzyme Mask with Activator – An enzyme-based mask is applied with its activator to support gentle exfoliation, helping loosen dead skin cells and improve the appearance of skin texture.
Steam or Warm Compress – Gentle warmth is used, where appropriate, to soften the outer layers of the skin and prepare the treatment area for possible extraction.
Marshmallow Whip Mask – The facial finishes with a soothing, hydrating mask designed to leave the skin feeling soft, comfortable and refreshed.
Each stage is selected according to your skin's individual needs and suitability.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we offer two approaches to professional milia removal, depending on the individual assessment and suitability of the treatment area.
Manual Milia Extraction
Manual milia extraction is available as an additional treatment only when booked alongside our Milia Facial Prep. The facial helps prepare and soften the skin before suitable milia are carefully extracted by a trained practitioner.
Manual extraction cannot be booked as a standalone treatment.
Sterex Milia Removal
Alternatively, milia can be treated using Sterex electrolysis, which uses controlled electrical energy delivered through a fine probe to treat individual milia.
Sterex milia removal is available as a separate treatment and does not require the Milia Facial Prep beforehand.
Your practitioner will assess the milia, their location and your skin to determine the most appropriate removal method.
Following Milia Facial Prep, clients may notice:
Where manual extraction or Sterex treatment is performed, suitable milia may be successfully removed. Results depend on the individual lesions, and further treatment may sometimes be required.
Your appointment begins with an assessment of your skin and the areas of concern to determine whether Milia Facial Prep is appropriate.
During the facial:
If manual milia extraction has been booked as an add-on, suitable milia will be carefully extracted following skin preparation, with the finishing mask applied afterwards.
Alternatively, Sterex milia removal can be booked as a separate treatment following assessment.
At Body Perfection Clinic, we understand that milia can be frustrating, particularly when they appear in delicate or visible areas of the face.
Our Milia Facial Prep treatment provides a professional approach to skin preparation, combining gentle exfoliation, cleansing and soothing skincare.
We offer both manual milia extraction and Sterex milia removal, allowing your practitioner to recommend the most appropriate approach based on your skin, the location of the milia and your individual needs.
Our priority is to provide professional, carefully tailored treatments while maintaining your skin's comfort and safety throughout your appointment.
If you'd like to talk through your skincare needs or find out more about any of our treatments, simply fill in the form below and we'll be in touch to book your consultation.
Suitability depends on your individual skin condition. The facial may be adapted for some clients with sensitive skin, but active irritation, inflammation or a compromised skin barrier may mean treatment needs to be postponed. Manual extraction will only be performed where the practitioner considers it appropriate.
