Treatment goals and expectations. This ensures your treatment is tailored to your individual skin needs and delivers the best possible outcome. For your appointment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and arriving with clean skin, free from makeup where possible. This allows your practitioner to carry out a thorough skin assessment and, where appropriate, proceed with treatment on the same day. Following your Circadia® Pregnancy Facial, it is important to care for your skin correctly to maximise your results, support your skin barrier and maintain a healthy, radiant complexion throughout your pregnancy. It is normal to experience some temporary effects following treatment, including: * Mild redness or warmth in the treated area. * Slight tightness or sensitivity. * Increased skin hydration and radiance. * Softer, smoother and healthier-looking skin. * A calmer, more refreshed complexion. These reactions are expected and usually settle within a few hours. Most clients can return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. To protect your skin and enhance your results: * Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and apply the recommended pregnancy-safe moisturiser. * Drink plenty of water to help keep your skin hydrated. * Avoid touching, rubbing or scratching the treated area. * Continue using any pregnancy-safe homecare products recommended by your practitioner. For the first 24–48 hours: * Avoid direct sun exposure. * Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat. * Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating if your skin feels sensitive. * Avoid swimming pools and chlorinated water if irritation is present. * Avoid makeup for 24 hours, where possible, to allow your skin to recover fully. For the first 3–5 days: * Avoid retinol, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, exfoliating acids and facial scrubs. * Continue using a gentle cleanser and moisturiser only. * Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning or laser treatments unless advised by your practitioner. * Do not pick or scratch any dry or flaky skin if mild flaking occurs. Protecting your skin from UV exposure is especially important during pregnancy, as hormonal changes can increase the risk of pigmentation such as melasma. * Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 every day, even on cloudy days. * Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors. * Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds. * Wear a wide-brimmed hat or other physical sun protection whenever possible. Circadia® Pregnancy Facials are designed to safely nourish, hydrate and calm the skin while addressing the changes that commonly occur during pregnancy. To maximise your results: * Attend treatments as recommended by your practitioner. * Continue using daily SPF to help prevent pregnancy-related pigmentation. * Follow a pregnancy-safe homecare routine recommended by your practitioner. * Keep your skin well hydrated by drinking plenty of water and using quality moisturisers. Blistering. Delayed healing. Any unexpected or concerning reaction following your treatment. If you think you have developed an infection (such as increasing redness, excessive heat, pus, discharge or fever), or you feel generally unwell, please seek immediate medical advice from your GP, NHS 111 or your nearest emergency department if your symptoms are severe. Your practitioner will be happy to advise you and arrange a review appointment if required.

To ensure your Circadia® Pregnancy Facial is as safe and effective as possible, please follow the advice below before your appointment. * Please inform your practitioner how many weeks pregnant you are and advise us of any pregnancy-related medical conditions or complications before your appointment. * Avoid direct sun exposure, sunbeds and self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks before your treatment, as pregnancy can make the skin more sensitive to UV damage and pigmentation. * Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 every day before your treatment and continue to protect your skin from UV exposure. * Avoid using retinol, retinoids, high-strength AHAs, BHAs, exfoliating acids and other skincare ingredients not recommended during pregnancy for 5–7 days** before treatment. * Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, laser treatments or IPL treatments on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks before your appointment. * Avoid facial scrubs and mechanical exfoliation for 5 days before your appointment. * Arrive with clean skin, free from makeup, moisturisers, sunscreen, oils and perfume on the treatment area. * Stay well hydrated before your appointment, as good hydration supports both your skin and overall wellbeing during pregnancy. * Please inform your practitioner of any changes to your medical history, prescribed medications, allergies or pregnancy-related skin conditions before your appointment. * If you have an active cold sore, skin infection, eczema flare-up, dermatitis, sunburn, open wound or irritated skin within the treatment area, please contact the clinic as your treatment may need to be postponed. Treatment is not suitable for clients with: High-risk pregnancies unless medical approval has been obtained, pregnancy-related complications such as pre-eclampsia, active cancer or those currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune disorders, blood clotting disorders, immunosuppression, known allergies or sensitivities to treatment ingredients. Treatment is not suitable for clients with: active bacterial, viral or fungal skin infections, active herpes simplex (cold sores), open wounds, cuts or abrasions, active eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis flare-ups, severe or inflamed acne with broken skin, rosacea flare-ups or severely sensitive skin, sunburn or recently tanned skin, recent facial surgery that has not fully healed. Treatment should be postponed for clients with: Photosensitising medications, recent steroid therapy, known sensitivities to products used during treatment. Treatment should be postponed if: the client is feeling unwell or has a fever, there is active inflammation or irritation within the treatment area, medical complications arise during pregnancy and further assessment is required.

For your Circadia Pregnancy Facial appointment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and arriving with clean skin free from makeup where possible. A loose-fitting top with a wide neckline or buttons is ideal to allow easy access to the face, neck and décolletage while ensuring maximum comfort during your treatment. Soft, breathable fabrics are recommended, and there is no need for special clothing as this is a gentle, relaxing and pregnancy-safe treatment designed to support both your skin and overall wellbeing. Avoid high collars, scarves or jewellery around the neck that may interfere with treatment or cause irritation afterwards. Please avoid applying heavy creams, fake tan or perfumes to the treatment area before your appointment where possible. Most clients are able to return to normal activities immediately following treatment, making the Circadia Pregnancy Facial a perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy some well-deserved self-care. Your comfort and privacy are always our priority, and disposable headbands, towels and gowns are provided when required.
